OMGN general updates
1:31pm, December 30, 2005
In preparing for yet another year, OMGN is even more committed in bring our members, readers, and community as a whole the best covering of online multiplayer games. In the upcoming weeks and months, you'll see various changes and/or additions on the website from minor tweaks to more featured content. This is to deliver not only a heavy quantity of diverse data to you, but to also ensure top notch quality in everything we offer here.

You may have noticed some current changes and/or additions already. In this announcement there will be a list of changes and/or additions that are already completed, along with information about the changes and/or additions

Games Directory under-goes a winter cleaning

For the past two weeks, we've been going through all games listed in the Games Directory here. One of the main changes you'll see is a text tag "[Discontinued]" beside some games. This indicates the submitted link to these games were either dead-linked or took us to some other site besides the actual game. Starting today, any game that has this tag will be deleted after a 30-day period if the link still comes up "dead" or takes us to an unrelated page. If anyone has information about the status of games that have the "[Discontinued]" tag, please contact Blair Morris with a working link and/or a report on the game's status.

Along with the winter cleaning of the Games Directory, we will be adding numerous games to the directory (which is currently in progress). Any individual is still encouraged to submit games to the directory, and you can do so by clicking here. Also, if you check the OMGN forums, Blair Morris is continuously updating a thread about the newest games entered into the directory. This is one of the ways for you to be kept up-to-date on new games out there to try.

You'll also notice an ever increasing amount of screen shots being added to games. If you have a screen shot for any game, you can submit it to by clicking here.

OMGN Wants You!

New to the site, is a the "Write For OMGN" link in the footer. The fact of the matter is that OMGN is rather short-staffed, and can't cover everything we'd like to. Now, we're hoping to put this problem to bed, so-to-speak, and give you a chance to contribute as a writer for OMGN. We're always looking for a wide range of diverse writers. If you're interested in writing for OMGN click here, or on the "Write For OMGN" link in the footer of the site, to find out more.
