Akanbar is a multi-user roleplaying game where you take on the role of a male or female who has just matured into adulthood and is ready to embark upon great adventures. This type of game is commonly known as an RPG, MUD or MUG in gaming circles. The setting is in a land of medieval fantasy where you decide what you want to become in life. You may decide to become the great knight who strives to see justice done in the land or become one of the demonic forsaken who wish to see nothing but blood and destruction. Some pick a different life altogether wishing to become the richest of merchants. Others still will strive to stand above mortal-kind and become Gods. You enter the world on Celestial Island, a proving ground for the young and the bold. Through your adventures on the island you will learn much of the knowlege you will need to live your life in Akanbar. You will find creatures to battle and computer characters to learn new skills from. Some may offer up quests or tasks for you to perform that may earn you experience or gold. When you are ready, it will be time to set sail for the main continent of Akanbar. Then your life will become very interesting indeed...
