Empire Forge is a turn-based strategy game in a fantasy setting. Each turn (usually once or twice a week), players submit orders containing text commands which the game server reads and processes. The orders are submitted via a web interface. The server then calculates the results and creates new data files. The data file is used by the client GUI, which displays all game information including the game map. During the week between turns, players contact each other by email and discuss strategies. Empire Forge is a pbem and it is essential that players email each other and communicate to win. The game can be played for varying lengths and is meant for 12 people. The Empire Forge server and client GUI are coded in java.
