12/08/03 Test Zone Applications

It's been a while since we did the last round of applications, and with the new round looming, TDZK needs testers to help ensure a bug-free launch.

The TDZK Test Zone is where the admin team tries out new code and concepts, before changes are applied to the regular game. It's a valuable place that allows us to run controlled tests of proposed changes, see the impact of balance fixes, etc.

Test zone membership is limited to a select few. Testers are expected to know TDZK gameplay and rules well, and have reasonably playing experience. Testers are expected to vigorously test and evaluate changes and tasks given to them by the administration; it's not a zone to play around in. However, testers do get to try out all the cool new stuff before anyone else, and their feedback is very helpful to us as we try to improve TDZK.

We are now accepting applications for test zone membership, and will continue accepting them until Thursday the 11th at 10:30 AM EST. To apply, please see the third page of stats/options, the 'Account' section. There will be a link to the application there. If you are currently a test zone member, do NOT apply again.

Filling out this application is the ONLY way to be considered for test membership. Requests over IRC, the TDZK Web Board, or email will be ignored, and may disqualify you. Good luck!
