E3: Auran Unleashes Their 'Fury'
Auran Games will unveil combat oriented MMO game at E3
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - Auran Games will unleash Fury upon the world starting in Los Angeles at E3.
Fury, a massively-multiplayer online (MMO) game, blends several elements of many genres, including first-person shooters and role-playing games. The game play cycle will let you fight, earn rewards, and use those rewards to customize your character as much as you want. Fury is scheduled for a 2007 release.
“We set out to create a game that would be Best in Class,” said Tony Hilliam, CEO of Auran. “With next-generation game budgets skyrocketing, we knew this meant we had to focus our game on specific key elements. We kept refining our design until the core essence was all that remained, PvP combat with deep and interesting character advancement. The results have been outstanding and we couldn’t be happier with the pace and feel of our game play.”
“We give players all the elements you’d expect in a player versus environment game, great loot, flexible character advancement and team game play, and we’ve seamlessly integrated them into a PvP environment.“ said Adam Carpenter, Lead Designer of Fury. “We’ve also successfully removed the intimidation factor many new players face in PvP games through innovative social systems and a matchmaking system to separate the hardcore from the casual players.”
As part of the press and public debut at E3 this year, Auran is hosting a Fury competition with prizes to give away. Sponsors include AMD, Nvidia, Logitech and IGN. News about the competition and more information about Fury can be found at the new teaser web site, www.unleashthefury.com. The website will be updated on May 10 when Fury is launched at E3.
