Information |
The OMGNb is an automated banner exchange network that allows video game websites to get their banners out on other member websites.
Participation in the OMGNb only requires the placement of the OMGNb code on the member website. For each impression of an OMGNb banner, you will get one impression credited to your OMGNb account. There are multiple banner sizes, so the impressions are all based upon size. A display of a 468x60 banner will get you the impression points for another, not a 120x600 banner's impression points (Impression points explained later).
It is completely free to participate in the OMGNb. OMGN itself will occasionally show the OMGNb banners on site.

Impression Points and Types |
Upon registration, you will be credited with 250 impression points. Impression points are earned by showing the banners on your site, and you can use them to display your banners on other participating sites. When your banners are shown, they automatically deduct the proper number of impression points from your account. Banners are selected for rotation in the system randomly, as long as the account of the banner has enough impression points.
There are 8 banner types. Each banner type earns the specified number of impression points when displayed on your site, and your banners use the specified number of impression points. This system gives weight to the larger banner types, since they use more screen space. You could theoretically display only 468x60 banners on your site, but allow your 120x120 banners to be seen on other websites.
Each banner type also has a maximum file size. Banners cannot be larger than specified sizes for various reasons, one being that member websites still need to load quickly. Here are the types, their impression points, and maximum sizes:
88x31px - 1 i.p. used/earned - 7,500 bytes maximum
112x35px - 2 i.p. used/earned - 11,000 bytes maximum
100x60px - 3 i.p. used/earned - 12,500 bytes maximum
120x120px - 7 i.p. used/earned - 15,000 bytes maximum
180x150px - 13 i.p. used/earned - 210,000 bytes maximum
468x60px - 14 i.p. used/earned - 22,500 bytes maximum
728x90px - 33 i.p. used/earned - 50,500 bytes maximum
120x600px - 36 i.p. used/earned - 55,000 bytes maximum |
Restrictions |
All participants in the OMGNb must be video game websites. Any website that deals with video games is eligible for the OMGNb.
We reserve the right to refuse the OMGNb to anyone. Anybody seen registering multiple OMGNb accounts for the free impressions will be banned. We periodically check banners for compliance.
Accounts can be registered by anybody, but the banners themselves must be in compliance with our restrictions.
