January 11, 2010 | | | Eric Levine Director of Broadcasting Elmira Jackals/First Arena 607-734-PUCK ext. 2215 | | | | X-TREME INTERNATIONAL ICE RACING RETURNS TO FIRST ARENA | Racing fans, there are just four days between now and the return of X-treme International Ice Racing presented by Buckley's Automotive and Knappy's Auto Body to First Arena! On Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16 at 7:30 p.m., X-treme International Ice Racing comes back to First Arena, and this is your chance to come see the best of quad runner and speedway bike racers in the world right here in Elmira. Last season, X-treme Ice Racing sold out both nights at First Arena, and left three time world-champion rider Anthony "The British Bulldog" Barlow professing his gratitude to Elmira.
"The fans here last year were great and it was a blast racing in front of fans in Elmira. The crowd was really into it, and I can't wait to come back next year," he said.
Next year is now. Barlow and more of the world's top ice racers will bring their action-packed, heart-racing battles to First Arena. There are no brakes in the bikes or quads, which leads to a night of pure adrenaline.
X-treme Ice Racing is the fastest sport in ice and one of the fastest in the entire world, and always has its audiences in a frenzy!
APPEARANCES APLENTY BY RACERS LEADING UP TO WEEKEND EVENTS
This week, the Xtreme Ice Racers will work to promote the Friday and Saturday races by making appearances on the radio and around town:
Tuesday - 9 a.m. - The Morning Rush, 94 Rock
10 a.m. - Appearance at Knappy's Auto Body
Thursday- 10 a.m. - Remote appearance at First Arena with the Morning Rush, 94 Rock
